1. LABOR RISK MANAGEMENT
At LAICA we protect and safeguard the safety of our collaborators. This is the reason why we implemented in every work center the Labor Risk Prevention Management System, based on international standards.
Furthermore, the organization has the OHSAS 18001 certification in the Coyol Operations Center.
The strategies to control risk are connected to activities like safe design of the facilities, machinery safety, signs, training, personal protection equipment according to our risk maps, emergency procedures and system maintenance against fires and alarm.
2. PREVENTIVE MEDICINE
At LAICA we have preventive medicine services for our collaborators, so they can receive medical assistance and a series of services related to risk management. The objective of this initiative is for every collaborator to get home safe, regardless of the tasks they perform in the organization.
Also, every year we carry out a massive event where our collaborators and their direct family members can have medical tests done for free, or for a representative cost, in order to facilitate yearly check-ups that allow timely action, if necessary.
3. EMERGENCY PREVENTION AND PREPARATION
At LAICA we have updated the emergency procedures in each one of our work centers, as well as the logistical and operational structures not only to respond to an emergency but also to prevent it. We also have attention groups called Emergency Brigades, made up by duly trained internal personnel, ready to respond to emergency situations as needed, at the workplace.
