Located in Miramar of Puntarenas, El Palmar was established between 1958 and 1959, and its cane comes from the cantons of Puntarenas Central, Montes de Oro, and Abangares. During its last harvest (2017-2018) it produced 66% of the cane in the area. This mill has a milling capacity of about 4,100 metric tons of cane per day. It can produce white and raw sugar. 29% of the producers deliver between 1 and 250 metric tons of cane per year.
